Have You Met Yourself?!

I’d bet not,
By the way you glare,
My dear,
Misery engulfs you,
And I sense fear.

The way you smile into your mirror,
When it’s just you,
That’s the way you need to let loose,
When to others you become nearer.

It’s buried deep,
But you’re such a delight,
Why do you let those demons,
Force you to fight?

I’ve seen you be so charming,
That it’s disarming,
Too bad you follow it up,
With being so unworthy it’s harming.

The pain in your mind,
From the shackles that bind,
I command it loose you now,
By the only mighty matchless name,
To which demons must bow.

You’re withering away,
A little more every day,
Because you won’t unearth,
A little laughter and mirth.

Seriously,
Do you know you?
I guess not,
Oh how sad this is true!

Poking through is sunshine,
That’s bold and courageous,
I can see what you would be,
If you’d forget,
And let it become contagious.

Fight!
Fight for your life!
From the sidelines I can tell,
You’ve been felled,
By the hounds of hell.

Next time you smile into your mirror,
When it’s just you,
I hope you introduce yourself to you,
And the scales fall off,
So you see you,
From my view.

Tribute To The Supernatural Power Of God

The spirit realm has shifted,
I know ‘cuz I felt first-hand,
The heaviness that was lifted,
I know you know,
That only prayer,
Could have moved it outta there.

The search began,
For an obscure door,
High and low,
Near and far,
Only to be found,
Right under my nose.

It was destroyed,
Wholly wiped out,
No hesitation,
Not a bit of doubt.

And wow!
Right away,
The first domino fell,
And that was the beginning,
Of the end of this hell.

Every day,
Another piece to the puzzle,
More and more things,
Turn one-eighty,
Yes the script has flipped,
They’ve been muzzled,
It’s only a matter of time,
Before there’s nothing left,
Of their heinous crime.

Words Don’t Die

More than mean,
Spat out in,
A savage scene,
Curses is what they are,
And so’s you know,
Long after you’ve forgotten,
They’re still raking in results,
That are rotten.

They don’t just drift out to sea,
Never to be seen again,
Effects are there,
Generationally to see,
All because loose lips,
Prophesied one’s agony.

Maybe or maybe not,
Purposely unpleasant,
But once it’s released,
Spirits to help it happen,
Are always unleashed.

Aimed in anger,
They’re the start,
Of immediate danger,
Someone spoke it,
Into existence,
And the receiving end,
Didn’t know,
To come at it,
With resistance.

Your life is not your own,
No one’s ever,
Really alone,
The declaring of a word,
Never goes unheard,
Imperceptible agents,
Are always around,
Watching you,
And listening to,
Everything you spew.

It doesn’t dissipate,
Into the atmosphere,
Once it’s cleared your ear,
But lives on forever,
Waiting to make or break your fate.

**********

That’s what’s up on tails,
Now let’s flip to heads,
It’s so much different over there,
Say good-bye,
To the fails,
And welcome in,
The wind in your sails.

**********

Forecast your future,
Make a big fuss,
Over everything that’s fabulous,
Predict those things will intensify,
No devil’s lies,
Have any part to play,
Make sure this wave of faith,
Takes up all your space.

Let communication,
Be your key,
Verbalize kindness,
Vocalize love,
And predict harmony,
Don’t give the unseen,
Any openings,
To kill your dreams.

Speak life every time,
Lest the enemy,
Overtake your mind,
If you say aloud,
Any melody,
That can be used,
For evil weaponry,
Expect the scales to tip,
And send you back toward tails.

Ha! Or Not!

Through and through,
It was solid,
You were certain,
Until things were revealed,
When up went the curtain.

Turns out underneath was tarnished,
And the gold was only varnish,
A coating so thin,
It could be cracked,
By just the prick of a pin.

Well it’s dreadfully degrading,
To an object’s rating,
When the cracked paint is peeling,
Being stripped away,
From floor to ceiling.

Ripped from it,
Faster and faster,
No stopping once it’s started,
Leaving it and all associated,
So very broken-hearted.

It’s been stripped bare,
There’s none left now,
But a stubborn speck,
Here or there.

Solid gold,
Was a facade,
A cover-up,
For something majorly flawed.

Black Ice

Hiding ,
An invisible danger,
It looks shiny and pretty,
Too late you see the light,
When you’ve already lost the fight.

Sure looks strong enough to hold,
But you’ll find it slippery,
And able to run you off course quickly,
Light fades to dark,
In the beat of a heart.

Once it’s grabbed all four wheels,
And taken full control,
This drive that started out serene,
Now it’s gonna get,
Nasty and mean.

It looked like nothing,
In the dead of night,
But little by little,
You comprehend that it’s chuckling,
While you it’s cutting.

Manipulation,
Thrilling to chilling,
In the blink of an eye,
Laughter’s changed to crying,
And living carefree’s been replaced,
With wishing for dying.

A glowing glare,
Fills your eyes,
So when you stare,
You’re rendered blind,
Free falling into the snare,
Without chance to react,
You become trapped.

It may melt,
On a sunny day,
But eventually,
Clouds always accumulate,
And therefore,
It’ll never regulate.

Glassy and slick,
Impossible to get a good grip,
You had it for a magnificent minute,
Until an unknown plight,
Caused it to take flight.

Super hard to handle,
A real danger to cross,
Causing much suffering and loss,
Are you ready yet for the exchange,
From snow boots to sandals?

Letting Go And Letting God (Vindicate)

**********

No, no, no!
No to the lies,
And misrepresentations,
People make up,
Because they’re pissed,
Based on assumptions.

**********

Just give it up,
Cuz anyway,
Here we’re done,
Giving a fuck.

Run away,
Go pout in a corner,
You can nurse your wounds,
With your exaggerations,
And wipe your tears,
With your expectations.

What comes around goes around,
Looks like that’s hitting you now,
And that’s music to the ears,
And makes the heart leer.

Come out,
Come out,
Wherever you are,
Face to face,
What are you?
Afraid to lose the race?

Birthed From A Bad Place

Nothing,
No one,
And meaningless,
No good,
Worthless,
And useless.

Insignificant,
Pointless,
And empty,
Flawed,
Imperfect,
And valueless.

Can’t get it together,
Having trouble sorting what I’m seeing,
Like what the fuck,
Shit doesn’t add up.

This sorry hide,
Pushed aside,
No not the end,
But getting deathly sick,
From all the bends.

Going once,
Going twice,
Going fucking crazy,
From some psycho that’s shady.

Unhinged,
Certifiable,
And batty,
Ballistic,
Eccentric,
And unbalanced.

Deranged,
Demented,
And loco,
Unsound,
Delusional,
And irrational.

Little bitch gots a secret,
That needs to be spilled,
Little bitch gots things latched on,
That makes him all wrong.

**********

Up goes prayers,
To the only one who cares.

**********

Enter, Holy Spirit! (To Bring Out The Best In You)

**********
Conviction, come!
An army of one!
Make me march to the beat,
Of a different drum!
**********

A barrage of voices,
Raging war,
Impossible,
To ignore.

Have you heard this before?
Screaming voices,
That implore,
You back away,
‘Cuz there’s a holier way.

Warning bells,
Silently going off,
Loudly dealing,
A deafening blow,
To all your brain cells.

Wordlessly loud,
It interferes,
……”Stop! Stop right there”!
Is an admonition,
You better reckon.

The suffering,
Is for toughening,
Necessary,
To kill the part,
That can’t go there with,
When you depart.

Attacking the mind,
To keep u from,
Committing a crime,
Trying to wake you up,
From being spiritually blind.

Pull away,
Stay on the straight and narrow,
To make it brief,
And bring relief.

Not Quite Utter Nonsense

That cow jumped over the moon?
Cool,
But this one here,
Leaps over a lagoon.

One natural barrier,
To the other,
She’s done it so often,
It’s created a crater.

In her mind,
There’s a monster behind,
And so she makes her way,
To the other side.

But then,
Oh! Ah!
The thing has not gone far!
So it’s back to the opposite shore.

Back and forth she goes,
‘Cuz that thing’s so chilling,
Though unseen,
It’s crippling,
The way it’s nasty and mean.

**********

The best place to start,
Has always been at the beginning,
It tends to keep,
The mind from spinning,
Which makes a mixed-up feeling.

So here we go,
It’s time to let you know,
What started this cow,
Living such a shit-show.

**********

A few miles out,
From the mainland,
Is a tiny island,
Where there’s a circus,
Aboard a boat,
That doesn’t float.

It sits on the ground,
Where people come,
From miles around,
Just to hear the sounds,
And see the sights,
Of animals trained in tricks,
And walking proud.

As part of the show,
A cow bows low,
Then gets in a watercraft,
And begins to row.

One day a little baby cow,
Which the ringmaster,
Had recently acquired,
Was told that her training time,
Was starting now.

“Fuck this”!
Thought she,
“From this horror show,
I must flee”!

And so she thought right quick,
Of an escape,
“Because why”,
Said she to herself,
“Should my life be a disaster,
To please that stubby and pudgy,
Unpleasant ringmaster”?

“I wanna be petted and spoiled,
Fed and groomed well,
By someone who’s loyal,
And give chocolate milk,
For royals to drink”.

**********

Soon she put,
The wheels in motion,
And managed quite nicely,
To find her freedom,
By taking a swim,
In the ocean.

She headed towards,
A neighboring isle,
Off in the distance,
A couple of miles.

She thought it seemed,
Small and secluded,
But upon her landing,
It was large and prosperous,
Having vast fields,
Of open grass.

**********

Now this missing animal,
Caused the ringmaster,
To see red,
When he noticed her absence,
Soon after rising,
From his bed.

So being the type,
Of man he was,
He made a rash decision,
And called in on,
The local magician.

Then these two malicious men,
Wrote a revolting charm,
On a piece of paper,
With a magic pen,
And together repeated it thrice,
At the count of ten.

Now there’s a terrible tormentor,
Attached to her,
Causing this bizarre behavior,
But she’s about to get deliverance,
Following a coming,
Supernatural occurrence.

**********

For warring angels,
Are headed that way,
They’ve been waiting all day,
For nightfall,
So they can end this,
Once and for all.

Now it’s dusk,
About the time,
The little cow,
Usually loses her mind,
And these angels surround the lagoon,
Singing one of,
Heaven’s own tunes.

Before very long,
Here she comes,
And the demon,
Along for the ride,
Is sure as shit,
About to feel,
A change in the tide.

As usual,
She’s wild-eyed and prancing,
Because of that thing,
So menacing,
Then all of a sudden,
She’s stopping cold,
And her eyes don’t roll,
Due to the invisible aid,
Of the angelic barricade.

**********

And that was the last time,
That devilish creature,
Got her goat,
And overtook her.

It’s said total deliverance,
Can come from a song,
And apparently,
That’s not wrong.

That’s The Best Blossom

It’s an immense field,
Full of flowers,
But you can pick just one,
Never let the wrong one,
Say “I won”.

Don’t settle for,
Second best,
Walk to and fro,
Weaving through the blooms,
Until you’ve found,
The only one,
Who will pass the test.

Is there one flower in the field,
That won’t ever wilt and rot,
And is there a surefire way,
To tell if it’s,
The one you’ve got?

Go stand in the middle,
Then spin slowly around,
See them all,
Before you carefully choose,
So you don’t lose.

Front and center,
Or waving from the wings,
Lying face down,
Or sitting on the ground,
Sporting a smile,
Or wearing a frown,
Only one of them,
Isn’t a clown.

Select one who won’t wilt,
The second it’s picked,
One who will survive,
When taken from its home base,
And placed in a vase.

Not the one who dies,
The second snow flies,
Or the one whose petals fall,
From a little bug’s brawl.
